SINGLE REVIEW: Take Me To The Ocean - Sully Gravity

Take Me To The Ocean is the latest single release by Sully Gravity, a singer-songwriter from Spain, now living in London. Sully has drawn from vast musical experiences throughout his young life, from studying classical music to performing in Church each weekend. After supporting Bruno Major, performing at his own sold-out show at The Old Church, and playing countless Sofar Sounds shows including cities such as Nashville, Paris and Barcelona, Sully is ready to give ‘Take Me To The Ocean’ to the world.

Take Me To The Ocean tells the story of growth, and how Sully’s mother helped make him the man he is today. It is drenched in emotion, from the swirling sea of BVs, to the synth strings floating above the vocals in the bridge. The track oozes power and pain, beautifully fused together with real heart, in a battle for strength in hard times. We can learn a lot from Sully Gravity through his music, from his stories of struggle to his uplifting messages sprinkled throughout, empowering many.

So far, Sully has released two singles, both extremely well received; with ‘Worn Out’ racking up over 15,000 streams since its release. Take Me To The Ocean, however, has clearly taken influence from Sully’s further life experience, embodying a more mature sound.

Take Me To The Ocean is out now on all popular streaming sites, and you can keep up to date with Sully’s story at @sullygravity - his trajectory is headed for the stars.
